3 years agoThis is a treasure. We were in Groton for a few days for work and I had to see this bar in an old Quonset hut. It is nicely renovated with a tiny kitchen at the end of the bar. This reminded me of little bars I used to go to in South Korea so I liked the place immediately. Then a few minutes after we sat down the bartender put upside cups in front of us to indicate we had free drinks when we were ready. Hank had bought a round for the house :-) We couldn't stay for long, but I immediately felt welcome here and will come back as soon as I can!

6 years agoI love this place. Since 1946. Quanset hut from WW II. Good food and nice people on both sides of the bar. Who knew?

8 years agoA small bar on Broad St in New London CT. Popular with the locals But I was taken into the fold by two guys as we spoke about classic cars. The beers cold and served in frosty 16 oz glasses. Lunch and dinner are delicious at the Half Keg.
